CENTRAL COAST DANCE CAMP

Each day follows a set program covering the dance style/s offered mixed with fun group activities. The last day of the program we hold our Showcase for the afternoon. Email dance@rockstudios.com if you would like more information.

Sufficient food for each day – morning and afternoon tea, and lunch. A drink bottle of water. Sensible clothes worn eg: bike pants and t-shirt. Activities for break times – eg. Reading, colouring. NO IPADS OR PHONES :)

Dance Camp may have a few students who arrive not knowing anyone else. Our leaders are trained to watch, care for and help dancers to feel part of the group. Dancers will be in groups giving a great opportunity to make new friends.

A team of energetic and committed Dance Teachers look after the dancers throughout the program. All teachers have a Working with Children Check, are aware of child protection procedures and we have first aid trained staff on site. In addition to adult teachers, a number of assistant teachers will be involved in classes with the students.

We meet the recommended teaching guidelines with a ratio of 1 teacher to every 25 students.

Rockstudios has an excellent safety record, and we work hard to keep this high standard. Of course there is an element of risk to everything we do in life and Dance Camp activities are no exception. Rockstudios aims to minimise risk in a variety of ways including risk assessments, appropriate teacher/student ratios, trained teachers and performing regular equipment checks to maintain industry safety standards.

Rockstudios Dance Camps are programmed as full camp programs as each day builds on previous days. In addition, we value the relationships that students build with each other and with their teachers over the full duration of camp.

However, we are aware that families are busy during school holidays, therefore students can attend on a Day basis for $45 per day. Should students not attend the full week, they will be unable to participate in the performance on Friday as students will have be learning and rehearsing across the week for this performance.
